Now im working here on a perment contract. I would like to get my self trained up on couses. Im only a Techie.

Where would be the best way to look and start my way on working up the ladder?

Feel free to move this topic as i couldnt find an area to stick it?

I was going to say one foot after the other, then when I re-read your post (not just the title) I realised you weren't asking about a H&S Training course of the use of a ladder ;)

I've done the PASMA scaffold training but not the working at heights training; legally, I can climb up any basic scaffold tower to whatever height it's at (e.g. 6m here), but I can't quickly pop up a ladder to do anything. Theoretically I suppose I should build the scaffold tower to check every WAP instead of borrowing a ladder.

Remember the three points of contact.

I am trained to:

Work at heights.

Lift boxes

use/build scaffold towers

use scissor lifts

use fire extinguishers.

inhouse training in IT is shocking. A short course for me in something relevant would use most of the budget so they put me on completely useless HSE courses to prove they are providing training.
