Just downloading the latest driverpacks as I'm struggling with a couple of older laptops to get them functioning, so I thought lets try DriverPacks, they normally do it.

I get to the site to find that actually, the driverpacks are all torrent based now, so that's a no go for being able to download from within school, so I'm currently downloading to my home office server only to FTP on to get the downloads back into the school. Fun fun fun .. especially given the house sits on a rural 1mb connection .. JOY! lol ..

Ah well .. at least I have the option I suppose!

use slim drivers, it finds the drivers automatically for you SlimDrivers Free - Download.com

I'll take a look. It's not one of those "Free" downloads where it scans your system, finds the drivers then tries to charge you your first borns blood to supply the drivers is it?

Edit: Reading further into it (and user reviews and what not) yes it will eventually want my first borns blood and it doesn't install the latest drivers but actually can be found to downgrade your drivers. I think I'll give it a miss on this occasion. Still, thanks though for the reply. :)

lol nope its a useful program. Its free I use it all the time, you can pay for a premium account if you want but you dont have to. Its really handy when you are missing a bunch of drivers, saves you scouring the net searching for them.

Ok, well I'll try it out on one laptop I have sat on my bench at the moment and see what it does then ..
