Hello, I would like to add an Apple Mac system to our RM CC4 network.

I currently have Windows 7 installed on the mac using bootcamp.

Will the RM Smart Client sucessfully run and join the Mac to CC4 or do I need to go about things another way?

Thanks for any help.

Ah ok, thanks. I will give it a go then. I just didn't want to mess up the version of Windows 7 although I believe the CC4 version of Smart Client does not require the os to be rebuilt if the joining process fails - just thought I would play it safe anyway!

Although I haven't done this myself I was talking to someone who had done this a couple of days ago and a straightforward smart client was successful.

Yup, I successfully Smartcliented an iMac running Windows 7 Pro SP1 onto our CC4 network :)

It has just finished worked very well. Thanks for your posts!

This is what worked for me:

Open apple mac, fully update via system update,

Open bootcamp and update, plus make windows support disk.

Install Windows 7

Fully update windows 7 but don't activate.

Insert proxy details

Run Smart Client.

Give it just over 1 hour

Job Done! :D

Hi guys, since last posing, the imac has worked very well. However, it seems to keep shuting down if it is not used for a few hours. Also it is not coming on in the mornings using the start up task. It does not appear to support WOL.

Does anyone have any experience of this?

Thanks.
