Silly question, but how do you install a Chrome theme you have created ?

I have made a Chrome theme, I have the .crx and the .pem file - how can someone else install this theme [ on a different computer ] without me having to send the images and go through the process of installing a unpacked extension ?

I don't want to publish it either as I'm not done with it - it needs tweaking.

Think I've done it - you need to open the .crx with Chrome and then a message will pop up in the bottom left hand corner asking if you want to open it or not... Bloody Stupid !!!
