Needed to replace a Epson projector so ordered a new one (another Epson) last week and came in with my DIY custom mount kit (Piece of mdf, scorpion saw and my drills) to find that Mr Epson uses the same screw mounting locations on the new model as he did 5 years ago :)

Its not often manufacturers help us poor maintenace bods! :)

Praise ya thee the geek god's shining all their glory unto us - we should all bask in their shining goodness.

We've had a fair few contractors up at the college, and in my experience I've found the dodgy ones to be the more helpful and generally adaptive to a more troublesome job.

Their also more willing to 'turn a blind eye' to surplus materials/supplies that get "disposed" of by us IT techy's. :p

im sure ive seen adapters for that

The old lead is what I call 2 pin "cassette" lead so I need 2 pin female socket to 3 pin "kettle" plug (which I've never managed to find :( )

Probably because I search for cassette and kettle :)

Also the 2 pin cassette doesn't have an earth so the kettle adapter would only be live and neutral

Pretty pictures may help you work out what they're actually called. Well, grey & boring pictures, but they do the trick.

I hate all projector mounts since starting to buy the new Casio projectors. Actually, no, I just hate Casio for almost making the perfect product and then ruining all the happy feeings by using M3 mounting holes instead of M4 like every other projector and mount ever made anywhere in the world since the invention of digital projection. STUPID CASIO.
