Can anyone recommend some good iPad apps that teachers are using in the classroom or a website that has some good recommendations?

We've recently bought an iPad for school use, to see how we can integrate it into teaching and learning either as a teaching tool or a learning tool for the pupils or both.. or neither! We also want it to add another dimension to the classroom, rather than just using it for the excitement of using a new bit of technology and just replicating what you can easily do on a laptop. So far I've only installed lots of free apps but nothing has really excited me yet.

It would be worth chatting with Essa Academy about this ... but a few things which 'translate' to iPads include the work done on things like OneNote, Skype in the classroom, etc

Are you looking for subject specific applications? Any particular target subjects?

Thanks GrumbleDook. I'm looking at both subject specific apps and ones that could work in all subjects like turning the iPad into a workspace that pupils can pass round with it displaying through the projector. I have found some subjects easier than others, I've found some good ones for Art, like Brushes, and I've been told there's a good pottery app too. Science, I love the Frog and Rat dissection apps and The Elements. Not being a teacher myself it's hard to know which areas can be improved with the iPad, but I at least want to find a few apps for each subject so I can get them started and excited about using it.
