Hi,

I have 18 RM ones in a suite and have had for about 4 years now, however recenly a couple of them have come up with "no signal" whenever I turn the screen on. I managed to fix it on one of them by taking the whole computer apart and then fiddling with some wiring. I would like to ask if anyone knows of an easier fix?

First you need to try swapping the monitors round.

Do the affected machines work with monitors (and cables) that work on other machines?

If they do, you know it's a problem with monitor/cable not the computer.

Have you tried this?

Try plugging a separate monitor into the video port in the 'cave' at the back and see if you get a display. We have a number of RM One's doing something similar and it is actually caused by failed motherboards or PSUs - so it's not the video system at fault, it's just that the machines aren't doing anything.

Do they show signs of booting? Beeps? Hard Disk Access?

What happens if you install a graphics card or remove the one if one is installed already?

Graphic card fans are prone at the moment as issues in our RM Ones.
