Unfortunately, one of the terms and conditions that the hosting city has to sign up to is that it creates access routes for the VIPs from their five-star hotels to the venues. It's rather reminiscent of the 'private' lanes on motorways in Eastern Europe which were built especially for Party members.

 

London has to provide these access routes as part of the contract. Still, it's a good way for us to be able to see some SERIOUS fat-cattery. You think our politicians are bad?

Why can't we say they can't be built in time!!!

 

How can it be green when the lazy so and so do not use public transport at least Living Stone used public transport and Boris use a bike.

 

We should just get rid of them now it too late for it not to be in London.

 

Why are the IOC such idiots that no one says that the lane are stupid and selfish.

Well if they did the datrford crossing at least the vip would have to pay the toll charge

Sadly, no. They'd be exempt since they're Olympic authority vehicles.

They are closing the two main routes for us to get onto the A31 which means a real problem for mrwITch - obviously depends on the time of day but could be a real pain for him

Oh and also recommending that commuters stop their daily commute during the olympics so that the transport system doesn't meltdown. Hahaha
