elsiegee40 Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 ... and I'm just round the corner for you e-Safety needs
Jay_Jay Posted January 31, 2012 Author Posted January 31, 2012 Candidates have been short-listed and interviews are next week.
Jay_Jay Posted February 14, 2012 Author Posted February 14, 2012 Just for info, this job is still open and will be advertised again next week.
mattmill30 Posted February 16, 2012 Posted February 16, 2012 Hi Jay_Jay, When's the new deadline for applications? Thanks, Matthew
elsiegee40 Posted February 16, 2012 Posted February 16, 2012 I don't think it's been re-advertised yet. It's probably out on Friday so you've got a couple of weeks I would think.
DPrince Posted February 27, 2012 Posted February 27, 2012 Hi Jay_Jay, I can't find the re-advertisement on the website. Is this post still available? If so, can you indicate the likely pay? Thanks
elsiegee40 Posted February 27, 2012 Posted February 27, 2012 It hasn't appeared in either of the local papers yet... I've just pinged an email to my friend who works in that school's office. Jay_Jay has now left, so may not know.
elsiegee40 Posted February 27, 2012 Posted February 27, 2012 OK. I've spoken to my friend as she says the job may not be re-advertised until after Easter. The school's application form is on the website: Hillview School for Girls - Vacancies and I've attached the original job description that I was sent by Jay_Jay. This is not done on behalf of the school, but at least it gives you an idea of what is required.ICT Network Manager Jan12.pdf
mattmill30 Posted February 27, 2012 Posted February 27, 2012 I have just spoken to the HR manager and, expanding on elsiegee40's research, the senior leadership team are going to meet to discuss the future of the job role. They currently have a contractor (sole trader) who has been working with the school for years, and he is providing helpdesk ticket escalation support, if the technicians are unable to resolve a problem. The review will decide whether they appoint another Network Manager, or whether they hire a third technician and utilise the contract. If the decision is to appoint a Network Manager, possibly with a different job spec/salary, then they will review the previous applications, and possibly re-interview/appoint a previous applicant; otherwise they'll re-advertise the position.
