Google adsense

I am thinking of using google adsense to monetize the websites I make for my school. Is there anybody one here who has already done this? What has your experience with adsense been like?

How are the school going to feel about their website being covered in ads, none of the schools i do sites for would even entertain the idea!

I wouldnt cover it in ads or pop ups, I would just place 1 or 2 blocks in the bottom corner of the page. It might not get alot of clicks, but every little bit of cash helps. Plus the revenue from the ads will be going to the school not me

I use Add sense on one of my YouTube videos. Think it's 2p a click. In the two years the video has had add's on it, I've made £16. You also have to reach a thresh-hold to get the money so I've not seen a penny yet. Therefore as a money making scheme for a school, I'd say it's really not worth it.

you might wait a very long time then minimal payout is $100 and i dont think ads related to education will be generating more than 2p-5p per click

to make it work you will need a lot of traffic and i mean a lot (thousands of visits to your site)

Does your school create revenue from any other form of advertising... ie posters around school? I know alot of universities do this but how about in secondary schools?
