steveconnolly Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 I have a school website which is having problems with pdf files in Google Chrome. When I have a link to a pdf file - Chrome just doesn't open the file. You have to right click and save-as. Other websites open files in chrome fine. Has anyone else had this problem or know how to fix it? It all works in IE.
elsiegee40 Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 Just tried it on our website in Chrome and it's fine. If you PM me a link, I will try your website from my Chrome for you!
Heebeejeebee Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 We're getting this with our Frog site. Only with chrome. just a blank white page shows. With Chrome being used more and more the issue is becoming a pressing one. HBJB
tech-man Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 Adding "AddType application/pdf .pdf" to "/etc/apache2/mods-enabled/mime.conf" resolved this for us. Thanks
thesk8rjesus Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 We had the same problem too, but found a good website that hosted our pdf files and put them into a booklet style here's a link to our Ofsted Report 2011 problem lies when you have lots of pdfs if you only have a few its brilliant.
