6Foot2 Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 X-13 > Vote for child. While attempting to vote, a wild syntax error appeared thus disabling the voting process. X-13 > Become overwhelmed with guilt. You would... But that would be silly. However, you do plan on trying again from home. This gave me the idea of voting again from school [which I have done] Why didn't I think of that sooner? 1
X-13 Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 This gave me the idea of voting again from school [which I have done] Why didn't I think of that sooner? Hey... why not manually set an I.P to mask your real one after voting, thus enabling you to vote again... and again... and again. ~honkHONK 1
sonofsanta Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 Broken in FF and IE :/ Replying so I get repeated emails about new posts to remind me to try again later... 1
CHR1S Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 (edited) Interestingly, if you click the OP link, vote, close the window and repeat it registers the vote again... well in Chrome it does Edit - it seems hit and miss in all browsers, with 4 in 5 attempts resulting in a new vote Edited December 14, 2011 by CHR1S 1
6Foot2 Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 Interestingly, if you click the OP link, vote, close the window and repeat it registers the vote again... well in Chrome it does I am using Chrome and I can't do that. I get: http://gyazo.com/36a319be0a42cb322331aa5e23ed867d.png

X-13 Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 Can't even vote from home... The button doesn't do anything. Tried looking in the page source... just a stupid on click 'RegisterVote("115d4ba1-8c7b-4b81-ac74-66994e732a8a")'
sippo Posted January 13, 2012 Author Posted January 13, 2012 Great news peeps!! The wife received an email today, and Aoife won!! Sincere thanks to all for voting.
laserblazer Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 Can I be the second? I bet you are really chuffed. Years ago, the Telegraph ran a virtual "Soap" competition. You selected so many characters from soaps and depending on how prevelant they were each week, they were awarded points. My daughter was leading from the very start and the first prize was a trip to Oz, going on the set of Neighbours and Home and Away and other cool things. Then the very last week, some stupid s@d in Corrie got run over by a tram in Blackpool and she was pushed into second place. The prize, a trip round Granada Studios. She was so gutted, she turned it down.
