So, our little darlings have gone through about 6 monitors so far this year, with their fists.

As our stock of spares is dwindling, I'm now on the prowl for a new monitor for our stock.

My requirements are:

1. Must be hard glass front

2. Must have buttons which can't be picked off.

3. Must have VESA mount on the back (and not 'sunk in') as they'll be used on HP USDT mounts.

4. 17" or 19" size.

Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

Firstly I'd agree that SLT need to deal with the disciplin issue as that is unacceptable full stop.

Agree with that completely, and tbh if a kid is going to punch a screen if you put glass ones there they are more then likely to punch that as well and end up with glass cuts along with you having a broken monitor.

non glass based but i bought some of these recently - seem pretty good.

Personal feelings on it? If they cut themselves, then we have some evidence and can make them pay for it, or refer it to the police.

It is a classroom management issue, yes, but that's something to tackle in the long run. Getting a suitable set of replacement monitors is something I can do now.
