Right with you on that one, although writing programs (they werent called apps then :-) was a nightmare! Ive still got my programmers reference manual somewhere, four volumes each 40mm thick!

 

Loved assembler on the beeb, but preferred to program z80 assembler - it had so many more commands!

I couldn't afford a Model B so I bought a Model A and bought the parts to upgrade it myself. I still remember the day I bought a floppy drive - it was one of the most impressive performance upgrades I've experienced!

Wish I would've known about you a few years back, managed to save some kit (including a rather funky Cub IR touchscreen) but I've seen a couple go that I couldn't find space for

Fans of Elite should be able to download Elite - The New Kind from somewhere on the net. It's a complete rebuild of the game for the PC, and it also includes a copy of The Dark Wheel, the novella which came in the box.
