Files reverting to previous versions

Morning, having a strange issue with two members of staff, both of which are editing a file, saving over the existing file in their own documents locations only to reopen the file to find it reverted to the original state.

 

If they save as and change the name the file it is fine until next time they change it.

 

Both staff using windows 7 laptops saving back to home location on a 2003 server (we have another 60 staff using same laptop from same image, with same permissions, and saving to same location).

 

Any suggestions would be gratefully appreciated.

Are these laptops using offline files?

Hi yes they are using offline files, the problem happens even when they are attached to the network, I did look and see if there was any issues with a delayed write.

Does it happen when offline files are disabled?

Are the machines connected by wifi?

I have seen it happen when the machines are connected through WiFi and cable.

 

I don't think I've tried disabling the offline files will give it a go and see what happens.
