Unable to deply Visual Basic 2010 Express

We've tried to deploy Visual Basic 2010 Express by installing on one PC, then creating a Ghost AI package and running it on all the others (fairly standard procedure for most applications). However, whilst it runs fine on the original PC, on the others we get an error message saying "Invalid License Data. Reinstall is Required".

 

Has anyone else seen this and found a way around it?

Have you tried deploying it via a script or similar? setup.exe /q should do a silent install. Repackaging it (as it is effectively a list of MSI packages that get installed) is usually a bad idea, and running it direct from msi is complicated also.

In my experience ghost AI packages are pretty crap for any big software, personally i only ever used it for small education programs like wordshark or whatever. Done away with it now though as it was a messy system.

 

My suggestion is to look into alternative deployment solutions
