I routinely build PC's up for clients at home, I do the same install time and time except I just use a different product key (what ever there's is) and different drivers for each model. Once I have done a machine I tend to take a image of it using ghost once all the updates are installed so I can just reimage if an issue in the future.

Is there something like WDS (never used, only seen in play at work) where I can just inject the drivers and get it to build from a base image? Obviously I will need to have a different one for XP Home, Pro etc and just enter the key I need, is this possible?

You can use MDT to do this on a laptop. You may just need to get a third party DHCP server depending on your laptop OS. You could use static IPs but it's worth the hassle of getting DHCP going.
