Well the heist might be like in game, but the police weren't! Had I tried that in game I'd have had armed SWAT teams all over before I'd evenleft the port! Obviously Kent police are laking.

 

Also, reminded me of True Crimes: Streets of LA. Every now and then a call would come over the radio to intercept a truck of stolen Activision games :D

Because then there'd be cries of "why do the americans get the PS4 two weeks before us"

 

EDIT: sorry, that should have read GTA not PS4, my bad.

Well, I managed to get a character created - then couldn't get online.

 

When I was pitched back into the main game I then couldn't start any missions or switch character....which is concerning.

 

However I didn't really have a chance to try any workarounds, so will have another go in a day or two...after I build my new system for BF4 ;-)

TBH @tmcd35 people have been crying anyway, expecting the whole thing to be bug-free and have zero connectivity issues on day one.. *sigh*

 

Compared to other games I've played recently (Assassing Creed Revelations - I'm looking at you :coldhardstare: ) I've found GTA:V to be remarkably stable and bug free! Got my first dose of annoyance last night after some 40hrs of gameplay (speed boat decided to beach itself on a rock in the middle of a mission, grrrr.)

Compared to other games I've played recently (Assassing Creed Revelations - I'm looking at you :coldhardstare: ) I've found GTA:V to be remarkably stable and bug free! Got my first dose of annoyance last night after some 40hrs of gameplay (speed boat decided to beach itself on a rock in the middle of a mission, grrrr.)

 

I had a few issues with GTA Online for the first 10 minutes (not able to move, HUD and character going invisible, missions looping back to the start etc.) but it smoothed out after - I can't fault it really, it was bound to have a bit of delay in the connection (given I expect half the world was trying to get on it at once.) - Got my character all setup, bought the clothes, managed to steal a nice sports car from an NPC (which for some reason just dissapeared when I entered the car, maybe it was KITT?) but then I realised I didn't really pay attention to the face... his lips were all puckered, like a pouting chav. Ugh :( I blame John Marston

I got online fine, realised my headset should be put out of it's misery (cutting out every 2/3 minutes or so), and went to buy a new one.

 

Got back in at half 8.. finally managed to start the Online Tutorial again at 11:30. They had to reduce the user limit from 1-8 down to 1-2 for the first part of the tutorial.. all fine after that.

I wish the PC release would hurry up and get announced... Or Rockstar actually says "It's not happening".

 

I'm fed up of not knowing.

 

Unrelated: Why the bejeezus does GAME still have SR4 PC as "TBC 2013"?! It's out. It came out the same day as the console versions.

I'm still waiting for Red Dead Redemption to be PC'd :( think of the possibilities, @X-13 could mod all the Horses to become sparkling unicorns or something Edited by Fleetwood

I'm tempted to pick up Skyrim for the exact same reason. And DragonShy.

Just a bog standard Official Xbox Wired Headset.. Game didn't have any of the wireless ones, neither did Argos a few shops down. Didn't fancy paying 45+ plus for turtle beach headsets or Tritons when I get the NextBox next month, so just went back and got the wired.. does the trick I suppose :)

I'd avoid the cheaper Turtle Beach anyway (the ones without huge ear pads) - they're the most painful headphones I've ever owned! Literally have a splitting headache and sore ears after using them for more than an hour. They're so bad in fact they prompted me to make a headphone amp so I can use my Sennheisers instead

I just picked up X12's. Seeing as I'm mostly on PC now I don't need to worry about connections changing. [though I wanted Tritton Kunai... but they're £75 on amazon.]

mmmm siberia v2ssssssssss ... I also pc game used to have ORB GPX2s but they broke after 1 year so I purchased some Tritton Kunais as I wanted to avoid Turtle Bay having heard some bad things, so far these things are awesome.. tritton-kunai-stereo.png

On an unrelated note: can anyone else see @X-13's attachments, or are you all getting the 404 page too?

I'm getting the 404 instead of seeing the attachments too.
