Google App Inventor

Hello,

 

We are having issues trying to get Google App Inventor to work reliably within school. The website part works fine but we have issues with the Java based blocks editor. Has anybody else had issues with loading the blocks editor within the My Blocks tab it doesn't load the content up - it's just blank.

It does load but you have to give it time...at home it can take anywhere up to 5 minutes to load and sometimes longer if I have more going on.

Hi,

 

I've resolved the issue. In IE we have, in addition to the proxy settings, have the checkbox "Automatically detect settings" ticked. Unticking this got it working perfect. I'm guessing the Java program was trying to use this for local communications possibly?

 

Anyway, connects first time, quickly and appears to work correctly.
