synaesthesia Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 Really bad week in all for motorsport. Thoughts go to his family and friends at a terrible time. He was absolutely helpless, and when the helmet comes off like that he was pretty much guaranteed to be severely injured

rad Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 Saw it on TV this morning, horrid to see a helmet fly off, although the news came back he was "concious" to the pit lane, must be hard for those trackside that saw it all unfold

laserblazer Posted October 24, 2011 Author Posted October 24, 2011 I think Rossi was in shock when he rode back to the pits, he must have known it was bad. Wouldn't be at all surprised if he retires.
