The University of Oxford is a complex and stimulating organisation, which enjoys an international reputation as a world-class centre of excellence in research and teaching. If so, Oxford University Computing Services has an excellent opportunity to join a new team.

This is an ideal post to allow you to develop your knowledge of, and start a career in, data and voice networking. In a busy environment you will be part of a team responsible for the installation, basic configuration, management, support, and operation of the University's networks and some of the services and devices that run on it, including its external links. You will also undertake the wide variety of work that is associated with the various networks. You will be required to work closely with other members of the team and be guided by more senior members of the team.

You will need to be patient, a good communicator, demonstrate attention to detail and be willing to learn. You also have some familiarity with data and voice networking and concepts, the hardware involved in the movement of data between computers e.g. routers, switches, and network protocols.

Working within Oxford University Computing Services you will find provides an environment that gives room for creative thinking, space to develop your existing skills as well as the opportunity to learn new skills and continue your professional development.
