Hi Folks, Have a real strange one here, we have recently gone to a full Vanilla network and removed CC3, we are now on 2008 servers and windows 7 with IE9 all updated etc. etc.

When we first build a computer with all the software on and county proxy setting in, internet is fine and Google mail loads up fast as.

As soon as we join it to the domain, with the same software and the same proxy setting for county the Google mail goes slow as you like and can take up to one minute to load up.

Can’t see why or where something is going wrong.

The proxy and dns do not change when we on workgroup or domain so wonder if anyone knows what’s going on.

Any help or suggestions appreciated.

Thanks

Jon

Check what proxy the command "netsh winhhtp proxy show" gives. If its blank you get all sorts of timeouts on ssl cert revocation tests etc. Edited by robk

Got the following back:-

C:\Users\jsharrock>netsh winhttp show proxy

Current WinHTTP proxy settings:

Direct access (no proxy server).

So how do i go from here? We have the proxy set to the county supplied one

Cheers

Did you create new GPOs from scratch or simpy edit existing GPOs? And are you using the same CC3 server, or did you re-install it as new (vanilla)?

If you remove the a workstation from the domain so it's back in a workgroup, does the speed return back to normal?
