Some of the switches look like they are branded allied telesyn not telesis not that it makes any difference as I assume they are the same company.

Eagle eyed of you :)

You are indeed correct

Wikipedia

Allied Telesis is a telecommunications company, formerly Allied Telesyn

Major rebranding then :p

We're heavy users of Allied kit (almost exclusively across the whole site) and are very happy with it. I know it's not as well known as Cisco and others but if anyone's considering buying then the prices look very reasonable.

Out of interest, what did you replace the kit with?

Thanks for all you replies!

Woaaaah. Badminton School, eh? Used to be my old place, I'm guessing you're Suba's replacement? I left (:/) March 2010.

I'd be interested in the AT-8326GB, currently after a managed switch to have a go on and get used to (we've got Ciscos' here but none for me to learn on). I'll be keeping an eye on the eBay auctions when posted.
