In intersting article on The Register based on an EU survey of children conducted by the London School of Economics:

Given the search history I found yesterday, I wonder how economical with the truth some of the respondents were being.

The report makes very intersting reading. I am quite surprised that the UK comes out of it very well in how children conduct themselves online, perhaps our parents and schools are better at educationg childen about potential risks.

In fact, the section where it asks 'Whether parents, peers or teachers have ever suggested ways to use the internet safely' shows the UK to be highest in the EU when it comes to teachers imparting advice with 85% of children saying thay have had internet safety advice from teachers and 71% from parents (only beaten by Ireland at 72% for parental advice). It's a facinating read.
