Most switches are typically just 1U in height and only allow a couple of transceivers to be installed. Aye but the thought of replacing "2 and a half" switches sounded rather amusing in my head, I had this image of one being cut in half I'm quite at one with my core switch and it's modules, they hate me and i hate them, it's a mutual disrespect.
