Hightower Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 Our powerpoint software keeps crashing, with the error that Flash10w.ocx is the faulting module - it only happens with boardworks (or when Flash is embedded in the PPT). We're Flash version 10.3.183.7. What version of Flash do you use and does it work as expected with Boardworks etc?
Hightower Posted September 16, 2011 Author Posted September 16, 2011 Or, can somebody point me in the direction of an MSI of an older version I can test? Thanks,
Hightower Posted September 16, 2011 Author Posted September 16, 2011 Can nobody help me by posting up their MSI for a Flash package earlier than the most recent (earlier than 10.3.183.7)?
Bankesy Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 Hello I have used Boardworks previously and never experienced any problems but that was with Office 2007. I gather by reading the Boardworks troubleshooting section that the newer versions of the software are designed to work with the newer versions of Office (07/10) so maybe the problem is there somewhere.
bossman Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 @Hightower: What version of Boardworks are you using? We are using the most recent version of flash with Boardworks and Office 2003 on CC4 Windows 7 Pro with no problems. What client platform are you using?
Bankesy Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 I don't remember which version of Boardworks it was as it was in a previous job but I do know the machines were running Windows 7. I take it you don't have access to a newer version of office or an older version of Boardworks to test it. Is it not possible to download an older version of flash onto just one machine to test it?
Hightower Posted September 16, 2011 Author Posted September 16, 2011 All I'm asking is for an older version of Flash....
Bankesy Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 Archived Flash Player versions and scroll down to older archives above disclaimers
