I've just had to install Smart Notebook 10 on some pupil laptops and I just did a quick mod to my previous 9.7 install

but I'd forgotton that Smart10 needs a licence key.

Is there a quick way of adding it in afterwards (or in fact - how do I get it in via script at all without having to get into msts or anything complicated! :) )

Use the Smart Install Manager.

Doesn't sound quick :)

I found references to ISX_SERIALNUM properties in the manual which implies I can just add something to the msiexec parameters but can't see any examples of the syntax :(

msiexec /i "[Path]\SMART Notebook.msi" INSTALL_NOTEBOOK=1

NB_PROD_KEY=[22-character product key] ACTIVATE_LICENSE=1 /q

I think this is the syntax but ive not tested.

@andyrite and zak (and sparkeh)

You were right - Install Manager was the tool for the job.

I ended up with

and it did it :)

Smart10 with gallery installed and activated :)

Takes about 45 mins/computer on my 11Mbs/10-BaseT network but that's another story :)

Ta again
