What's the point of 'Run As Admin'

Can someone tell me what the point of having a feature ' Run As An Administrator ' and it NOT working in Windows 7 ?

Works without a problem in XP, but NEVER on Windows 7. Even stuck the program in XP Compatability mode but still not. Funny as I'm a Domain Admin. Am I missing something obvious or do I have to do the Microsoft dance like I did when turning off UAC and getting .CMDs to run ? You know, all basic type stuff for a client server model but the pratts at Microsoft tend to over look. It's ok though, we have a nice telly tubby type front end with this stupid ribbon on office. It's all eye candy and nothing more.

\Rant over.

The problem is according to other posts around here all M$ office staff are admins and they manage there own pc so things like gpo's and the like are not tested as well as they should be!

What's not working about it? Seems to work fine here. Normal admin, with UAC on, and I can run any program as admin. Is it still giving the restricted warning, or is it crashing etc?

Have you tried turning it off and on again?

I've tried smashing it up. Will love to know why people rave about Windows7 - its nothing more than Vista SP3. God I hate it......:pout:

Oh no, it teases you - once I got it running in XP SP3 Compat mode it starts to install then bombs out saying it could not write to a part of the registry.
