LinkZ Posted August 17, 2011 Posted August 17, 2011 I'm having problems denying student access to administrative tools, i've set the GPO's to disable all control panel items however they can make shortcuts on a memory stick or on the desktop to "compmgmt.msc" for computer management, "taskschd.msc" for task scheduler and "mstsc" for remote desktop connection. Is there a GPO to turn off access to these? Also once they are in Task Scheduler it lets them create new tasks and delete existing tasks registered to their username.
CESIL Posted August 17, 2011 Posted August 17, 2011 I think you can add mstsc.exe to the blocked program list in GPO and probably mmc.exe to stop the others? Can't try this as I am on my annual 5 week unpaid lay-off...(not holiday as the teachers keep calling it)... 1
