Hmm Ive got someone coming in from Becta to do a survey

Had one of these a couple of years ago.

 

Wasn't actually someone from Becta, just a company working on their behalf.

 

They never bothered looking at anything just asked a load of questions.

Yep - me. Not really sure what they want to know - unless its just a headcount of computers??

They definitely do - I nearly got the job of their infrastructure manager a few years ago - nice offices as I recall - but a drag of a commute.

Be careful it's not RM in disguise. What is the natue of the survey, any ideas?

Also ask which department of BECTA they are coming from and what they are going to use the information for.

 

If it is something good you can tell your manglement that you are working with becta on project x ... it helps to make them take you more seriously if they find out you are working with such groups ... always good come pay review :-)

had this when i was at longridge - spent the afternoon answering Qs with a guy from some 3rd party working on behalf of Becta.

 

I also have one coming up soon at Baines.

 

You get a 'report' out of it saying how wonderful you are.

We had one about 16 months ago, just sat ad asked us questions all afternoon.
