track email password of kids

Hi every one. Is there any way I can set my google chrome or mozilla to automatically save all the password entered on mail servers like yahoo or facebook on my camputer ny others which I can later recover? or any program which can I install to automatically save all the passwords entered. please advice if this is possible. Thank u

Are we talking about a parent tracking their kids passwords or something for a school?

If the child Is under 13 and your a parent or guardian you can ask the child, but logging without consent is very much illegal .

Not that I'm a parent and I'm sure you have your reasons but would it not be better to use parental controls built into Windows to monitor/log PC usage and as far as passwords goes its usaly best if you discuss your potential concerns and obtain the passwords through consent.

It's called a keylogger. Use will be illegal and/or a breach of the terms of service for any of those web services. It'll also do major damage to your (or the schools) reputation with the kids in question - don't expect them to trust you when they find out you're doing it.

 

What are you trying to achieve? There's probably a better way to go about it.

target is just to have a check on girls who they r talking and to make sure they r not doing any mistakes as both r 13 and 14.. how ever i do feel it would be illegal if we do this on ny outsider.. .parents said me don't worry just do it ..they want to monitor and be friendly with them during working out their friend circle . .

Yep time to explain them there are other ways - do get them to look over Windows Parental Controls which can help montor usage but when it comes to personal messages without consent you have a whole world of hurt coming up...

Legally and morally ... if you are in a school in England & Wales then it can be fine. The onus for checking should be based around child safety so it is in conjunction with your CPO (eg checking on bullying, etc) and the requirement should ideally be not just for feedback to the parents. The difficult point is on whether you are doing this with or without notification of users that it can and will happen. The Telecommunications (Lawful Business Practice) (Interception of Communications) Regulations 2000 ('the Lawful Business Regulations') says you can do it, but you have to be clear why.

- The Lawful Business Regulations are the main source of lawful authority for the controller of the system to intercept and monitor. They permit the monitoring or keeping a record of communications for purposes such as standards, national security, prevention and detection of crime, investigating unauthorized use, and ensuring effective system operation.

 

- The interception must also be relevant to the business of the system controller. (NB: This is the clinching argument for Educational Establishments – since there can be no argument that Interception and Monitoring of Pupils Web-Browsing is entirely relevant to the School’s activities)

There's quite a wide difference between monitoring web browsing in school by people who've agreed to an AUP and are aware it happens and installing a keylogger and then using those captured credentials to log in as someone else to a third-party service not controlled by the school in order to intercept communications.

 

That's what the OP was asking. That's what we're responding to.

Guys lets remember as said by the OP this is for a parent monitoring a child - still plenty of legal things to go through but we are not looking at a school/business situation here.

Otherwise perhaps could set up a proxy to cache passwords - Kids love using proxies to access facebook

At the age given by the OP... the gls concerned undoubtedly have mobile phones. At the first hint of snooping on the PC, they'll stop using it and use another means to get on the internet.
