Print Management

Our school is thinking of going down a managed print system as we have so many different printers throughout the school and it's a ball ache keeping on top of all different consumables and costs. Been down the compatible/recycled route but's it's more hassle that it's worth

 

Has anyone got any good recommendations? or can point me in the direction of a company that offers this?

 

We want a centralised printer that the school can print to.

I use United Carlton based in the North East, we use Sharp machines and use PCounter. Been running properly since Christmas and has saved so much time and effort and costs are just dropping.

 

In the process of putting in a second managed print but not going to get my way and use the same thing.

United Carlton themselves recommend paptercut as opposed to PCounter (at at least the engineers we deal with for a school we support).

 

United Carlton have been fine with us when we've needed help etc, but as i said, they also sell / support Papercut which i find to be much better than PCounter.

I recommend Papercut too. Been using it for over a year now. Initial cost was high, but subsequent yearly support/upgrade charges are quite cheap and in the long run it's looking cheaper than PCounter. It's also web-based, easier to manage than Pcounter and very customizable.

We use United Carlton too, I can recommend them. We already had PCounter so we continued to use that to manage the 'fleet' of 10x Toshiba MFD we purchased from them.

I use IOT, I can recommend them (we use Ricoh devices and Equitrac Express, using mifare card authentication)
