Very interesting indeed - it amazes me how much we think we know about something from the news and our own delvings into the security world is belittled by the wealth of information from that article alone. It also highlights/reminds us that behind the moronic facades of most "security" companies like McAfee and Symantec, there are indeed some damned genius people.

The thing it only sort of touches on is who actually made this malware, I would suggest that it probably was a government. What does everyone else think?

Probably a government agency, like Association of National Park Authorities or the Pensions Ombudsman.

More than likely the US and Israel maybe a CIA/Mossad project.

Thanks for the great read. Hopefully this has opened companies eye that they should not assume hackers cant do something. To me, its best if you assume anything you can do, a hacker can do too, and possibly more!

It does sound politically motivated though...
