If you follow the line of the runway from LHR to the East, you should see at least a couple (the above may well be one that I've found before). May have gone now, but there was one just off Gibraltar on final approach with the cross-runway traffic stopped for it. Edit - Gone. Road traffic flowing across the runway. Edit 2 - Oh wow! I believe the Qatari Airlines plane was being flown by a RyanAir pilot....that's why he's in a quarry.... "Yeah, mate, we never land at the REAL airport....!" And just to the left of the quarry plane, you can see evidence of.... GHOST PLANES!!!! There are shadows with NO PLANES!....Therefore, I can only surmise that these are either ghosts, or have been taken by aliens! Edited July 21, 2011 by aerospacemango
BatchFile Posted July 21, 2011 Posted July 21, 2011 This is my favourite plane photo - taken from the beach on Skiathos - on the return journey you take off with only 20 mins fuel and land on the Greek mainland to refuel for the trip back. There isn't enough runway to take off with enough fuel to get back to the UK
