hi

We have a set of speakers with input from the pc with built in amp on one speaker feeding the other - they work fine. One speaker mounted to the wall top left and right of Starboard.

Upon turning on the Starboard they now just let out a high pitch whine - I wiggled and jiggled the power adaptor where it goes into the to the Starboard and this seems to be the problem.

Not had this in any other classroom though and physically it all looks ok, ie not broken and power adaptor is also ok, tried moving the speaker lead and power adaptor leads away from each other but still the same.

Could be a summer job.

I'd be tempted to call Hitachi Starboard support, they are usually pretty good.

Some other things to try:

Assuming it's not a FX Duo, have you tried swapping the control board from another unit?

Have you tried a different computer?

Have you tried a different power socket? Have you disconnected all other devices from the power and the IWB set up?
