Silverstone Grand Prix F1

Going camping for the weekend and heading there tonight after work. Anyone else going? This is my first time so i'm stupidly excited. Less so about the weather forecast though!!

Silverstone and rain is great fun, just think of Glastonbury with cars making loud noises instead of crappy bands:cool:

If you never been to an F1 race, just wait till you hear the F1 engines fire up, it really is awesome, you feel it as much as hear it!

Lucky you are going! I will be watching the whole thing on the BBC including the practises which I keep open while I work.

 

Good luck to the brits this year!! Mclaren 1-2 with Resta 3rd would be a dream result.

Drove past the A43 last Friday which runs right by it, will be grid lock around there, glad I went that way last weekend!

Yeah I'm going VIP stylee Can't wait, although traffic worries me a little. Have to be there at 8 for breakfast although thankfully not via the front door.

First time too, huge F1 fan and although I've been many times before (testing, renault world series, BTCC) I've never been F1.

Going to a party near there Saturday night for wifes cousins 30th. Having to come back same night as all hotels are fully booked due to the GP.

Funny thing is the cousins dad AND husband work in F1 on the cars, so its not like she didnt know it was happening this weekend!

I wish i could go, my Aunty gets 2 VIP tickets every year, which she has only just told me about, but because she "isnt fussed" she gives them to her work minions

and not to me! it made me soooooo sad

Some friends work there in the study centre, and it gets taken over each year to use for the police control room ... it means they have to use their passes and go and sit elsewhere ... on the Sunday ;-)
