Netwacky87 Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 Hiya All! Im quite happy that yesterday I passed all the exams to become a MCITP: Enterprise Administrator :D (2 years of work!) Phew! The certificate for the last exam appeared online this morning, but the certificate for the MCITP: EA exam has not? Does anybody know if you get one for this? All the exam planner online says im done but its a bit disappointing not getting an overall certificate! Mart
SYNACK Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 If its like the old system you need to log on to the learning platform and assosiate your new credentials witha live ID, you then used to order a completion pack from the portal which had a cert, pin and card along with a fancy brochure if I remember right.
plexer Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 All certificates are electronic delivery now unless you pay for them. Your EA qual will appear within a few days my SA certainly did. Ben 1

plexer Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 When I did my SA I didn't actually get a certificate for the final exam looking at it just the SA one itself but it may be slightly different with the EA. If not I'm sure there's some contact details if you are having problems. Ben
jamesb Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 I believe the first cert you order for each qualification from the MCP portal is free - any subsequent ones aren't. On the other hand there's now the electronic transcript, which is much easier to share with people and looks fairly nice.

I am trying to finish of the SA but I didn't want to take it until I had sight of the R2 book for the 646 which was supposed to be out this week but now it's delayed a month grrrrrrr. I only really want to do all the labs in the book. Yes you will have to pay for the certificate unfortunately. When I originally did my MCSA you got certificates, cards, tie pins and all sorts of stuff. Just print your transcript out and explain you have done all the exams and that you are just waiting for the EA to appear. Edited July 7, 2011 by ChrisH

ChrisH Posted July 18, 2011 Posted July 18, 2011 70-680 is a lot tougher than the likes of the Vista exam. I liked it though as it related nicely to some of the new server technology like branch cache and direct access etc. I must admit a few questions did get me thinking especially the ones asking for a step by step guide through the GUI to get to a certain function and as we know Windows 7 likes to go round the houses a bit in this respect.
