Hi Guys,

I have been asked to see if I can find a Free Image Editing Application for Primary School Kids to use. What the school wants is to be able to allow yr2 kids to import a photo and change the look of it with click - rather like video editing software giving it an old film look etc. Also they have asked for the ability to Warhol a picture.... This could be the same software, or a seperate one. I think things like Gimp and paint.net are way too advanced, so a much simpler solution would be great. Anyone have any ideas??

Thanks

Nick

A lot of our sixth formers can be found using this intuitive website;

http://www.picnik.com/

Full of funky features, and all happens online. No software install necessary. Worth a gander.

EDIT: Just realised you're looking for primary kids. Reading post titles does help, but still. Maybe it could have a suitable application elsewhere.

Hi - I really like Pixlr - online image editing with two levels - Pixlr Express, which is very basic (have used it successfully with KS1) and Pixlr Editor which is more like Photoshop, but still appropriate for KS2.

Both have sepia and vintage effects, and several posterize-type filters that will do the Andy Warhol thing.

Just Google Pixlr to find the website - I can't post links yet!
