I don't know about this service but I find Nagios and Cacti to do all the work I need. Instant notification via any of the normal methods (email, jabber, sms, pager or any custom app you wish to use), easy to set up (for all 6 my servers and integration with jabber it took me an hour) and it just runs.

 

And Cacti is just as good, so long as you have SNMP enabled on the hosts - and it works well with most types of switch too.

 

Why use an external service and use up your net bandwidth for monitoring?
