ben604 Posted June 28, 2011 Report Posted June 28, 2011 Hello, Not sure if this is the right forum or if it's even permitted, but I'll ask anyway! I'm in a band, we've just leased an Industrial unit to practice in for 12 months and we want to make it a little more homely...to that end, we're after a few freebies! It's a long shot, but if anyone knows of any wide black material/extra long curtains and or office dividers being thrown out, we'd love to take them! We're on the Wirral, but we're willing to travel around the North of England / Wales for the right stuff! Thanks, Ben.
Pyroman Posted June 28, 2011 Report Posted June 28, 2011 =D we're looking for the exact same thing at the moment, looking at cheap black canvas online
ben604 Posted June 28, 2011 Author Report Posted June 28, 2011 =D we're looking for the exact same thing at the moment, looking at cheap black canvas online It's a nightmare, isn't it! We need about 35 metres to cover the whole room...cheapest we can buy it is about £98! Well above our £Zero budget! I think we're going to give in, paint it black and hang free rugs from Freecycle up in carefully chosen locations. It's probably better to keep some bare walls, it might sound a bit too clinical if it was completely dead!
RabbieBurns Posted June 28, 2011 Report Posted June 28, 2011 hmm ive got an area in my house that was a dining area, ive now made it into a spare 'room'. problem its an area, not a room. an office divider or something like that would be ideal to section it off.. Or is there somehting designed for houses that is a proper name for something like this? ps. sorry to hicjack, but you just gave me a good idea
jamesreedersmith Posted June 28, 2011 Report Posted June 28, 2011 What about some 2x1's and some hoardboard/thin mdf and make a "wall" with some feet and paint it to match the room. Life a giant office divider that matches.
