jsnetman Posted June 21, 2011 Posted June 21, 2011 Just set up MRBS room booking system, can anyone tell me how you change the text in the top left corner "Meeting Room Booking System" which is also a URL. I would like it to be something like Classroom Booking System. Cnt't find any reference to it in any of the config or php files. Thanks
cromertech Posted June 21, 2011 Posted June 21, 2011 It's in the language files I think. I change a lot of my language file and called it as a custom lang.encust in the config 1
jsnetman Posted June 22, 2011 Author Posted June 22, 2011 Thanks guy's, found it where you said it was.
tbd Posted June 23, 2011 Posted June 23, 2011 Hi All, On a slightly different subject, still with MRBS. We have implemented this system and we want to be able to make bookings throughout the whole day including during the school day and after school. We have rolled this out with times as opposed to periods and our teaching staff have all hit the roof and saying they need periods and can’t deal with times. I was wondering how other schools have dealt with this? Thanks, TBD
Marci Posted June 23, 2011 Posted June 23, 2011 We do it by times also. Teaching Staff were told by SLT to suck it up and deal with it.
tbd Posted June 23, 2011 Posted June 23, 2011 Do your times match the start and end time of the periods?
Marci Posted June 23, 2011 Posted June 23, 2011 Nope! Timeslots are from on the hour to half past as that's how external lettings tend to book... our lessons conform to this thru to mornig break, but after break periods shift to .45 thru to .15. We allow bookings to be made in 15min increments to account for this - just means they have to type in the start and end times.
Chris_Cook Posted June 23, 2011 Posted June 23, 2011 We use periods - thats the reason we choose it over other systems. You could have periods for specific times, like an "after school" period, or "8:00am-8:30am". If you do go down this route, you would need to plan it a bit, because adding a period at the start of the day is a bit tricky.
