set clour scheme through gpo

Right finally got round to setting desktop through group polices, xp and server 2003, but how can I set a colour scheme, I would like xp style - silver, just can't work out to do it.

You have to create a custom desktop theme with the colour scheme settings you want and then set the theme in the relevant GPO. There's no way to change the colour scheme directly from GPO.

Since you want to use a standard theme, you shouldn't need to create a custom theme.

 

An alternative way of doing it is to set the theme in the profile (be it default or mandatory).
