Hi everyone,

I've searched through loads of other posts but can't seem to find the information I'm after.

Basically what I'd like to do is create a list of users, like a contact directory of sorts, with the information pulled from the User Information area (Username>My Settings>User Information). I'm new to SharePoint so if I need to give any more information please let me know.

Thanks,

Ben

The user information you populate in Active Directory is synced to their profiles in SharePoint. Phone number for example is searchable using SharePoint so our users just search for names and results show phone number, email address, manager, department and so on. Is this what you are looking at?

Hi,

The Username>My Settings>User Information is stored in the site collection and is brought through from AD. The user can change this without having a MySite. The list is a list but you can't really do anything with it.

I was starting to think this may be the case. Cheers for the response, really appreciate it.
