kylewilliamson Posted March 17, 2007 Posted March 17, 2007 For those of you that haven't seen Serco's email, there will be another upgrade in lateish April in time for the Summer Census. So, chaps, here we go again.
GeorgeFaux Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 They do all of there development patches through the year to be released with the census usually so I wouldn't expect this to change any time soon.
NBC_Sys_C-ord Posted April 25, 2007 Posted April 25, 2007 We here have had a copy of the April release, due to having major problems with attendance and the last release, to get this we had to bring in the defs to help get some help with them. New version has been loaded on to our standalone computer and seems to have sorted most hiccups’ (Cmis words)
limbo Posted April 25, 2007 Posted April 25, 2007 @GeorgeFaux - you are not telling me they actually they actually have a plan for these things are you? It takes real genius to come up with a plan and make it look so random and unthought out - perhaps we are not giving them the credit they deserve!! Alternatively, perhaps it is just as bad as we think!
GeorgeFaux Posted April 26, 2007 Posted April 26, 2007 Of course they have a plan, they wait until the census is coming up and say blimey we are legally obliged to make this work. Then they pick a few things at random and chuck them in as updates. I have been to a couple of focus groups for them and they show some really nice features but then seem to go off on a bit of a tangent i.e. the complete redesign of e-portal (I still prefer the blue). Testing also seems to be a bit redundant for them due to people running the system on different platforms or with authority specific versions. This drives me nuts.
NetworkGeezer Posted April 26, 2007 Posted April 26, 2007 Looks like life in CMIS land is just as goods as in SIMS world
GeorgeFaux Posted April 27, 2007 Posted April 27, 2007 If it helps its not just limited to MIS companys.
