@ChrisHallett - :welcome:

This needs to be started as a new thread, specifically for your query. I will split it off for you.

Do you want to see just the different types that are possible, i.e. daily, weekly, heads, departmental? Or each individual one that has been scheduled within a certain time frame...?

There is a detentions section under the conduct focus when creating reports that should do what you need either way. In addition there is a new (i only noticed it since spring 11) homepage panel that is for viewing detentions that have been scheduled, it can be configured just to show yours, or any users.

Oh so there is! Cool that's really usefull (and timely as I am just getting things set so we can start using detentions next term!) I'd never have noticed cheers for that. [EntirelyDifferentRant]And it's got the current week as a date cycle!!![/EntirelyDifferentRant]

back on point, if you want a count of the number of detentions over a period create a new report with the data area set to Behaviour Management ==> Detentions. Add in a couple of fields, filter by date range, Under "Define presentations" Drop the report into Excel and tick the "Record Count" box (below the divider frequence and print preview box). Run the report. Sims then lists the detentions and puts the record count in the top right corner of the header.
