We're using credit recovery software. The fundimental problem I see with this, is that more often than not, the students who need credit recovery at our school are ADHD or Behavioral issue kids. The standard format simply sets them up to fail before they even walk into class. Can anyone suggest a program for these type of students?

IIRC Credit Recovery in the US is where you have missed a heap of classes or failed to do certain work for your high school diploma and so you have to do a lot of other activities. In the UK we often hear, in US teen progs, about having to do Summer School for those needing to complete compulsory elements of the High School Diploma and Credit Recovery can allow for catch up during the year.

Online learning needs to be tailored for so many learners, in particular those who may not have the skills to do independent learning. The best methods for this include starting with courses about the best ways to learn, short courses aimed at things the students are going to enjoy (a spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down).

I think the OP might benefit of any ideas or examples about how any schools have managed to encourage students to get on with VLEs when they are those who might have short attention spans or who are disaffected by school (those usually branded thick or lazy ... usually wrongly!)
