[sims] SIMS Profiles - Can you edit the template while session is active and unlocked?

Hi All,

 

We are running Profiles reports for End of Year Reoprts (Y7-10). As the HoD have been very slow at returning the comment bank amendments, we are now behind schedule. Is it possible for me to work on the word template while the data is being entered by staff? This would save me having to rush it through and possibly making mistakes.

Yes, but I'd duplicate the template and make changes on the duplicate, then switch it to the main when you're happy. When you select a template it gives you the option to duplicate in the pop-up window.

So once the session is running, I can change the template to another one without issue?

Yup,

 

Just done it on one of our sessions (in review mode) and it works.

 

I tend to name them something like OriginalName-Pete-ReasonIMadeACopy.
