Can be internet games too depending on setups. As an example, anything locally on a flash drive would run (flash games etc), if you use something like a login script to kick off a local filter program etc. (e.g. If you put a specific block on a student group to access a games website, but the auth doesn't run and pick it up as a student).

Was more for the local aspect though as this was back in 2011 :p Year of the flash games invading schools!

@Steve21 - is this still available for download?

Cheers

Err that's a good question! Seems EduTech hosting down again :p

Think this was the latest version (Hopefully will attach but wouldn't be surprised if it gets blocked with an exe in it :p), but to be honest not looked at it in years >.<

FAQ

I get an error on running the program?

Generally this is if you don't have the .NET framework installed.

What can disable the program?

Obviously items like Task Manager, and/or WMI scripts "can" disable the program. But EduLock shouldn't be accessible to students through these, as these are normally locked down.

How to access the admin page?

Right click on the NotifyIcon, and enter the admin password (Note, Click on the white square first)

What are the passwords?

By default:

Admin Login Password: adminlogin

Admin Unlock Password: adminunlock

Teacher Unlock Password: teacherunlock

Where are the Registry Keys?

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\EduLock

What is TestGPOUpdates?

A test update to force GPOs to update on any unlock of the computer. This is a configurably option incase of any problems with this, or you already have a solution in place to stop this.

Sorry will try to sort it out properly when I get time just been on my radar to re-do a few apps so not looked back at these recently.

I came across this while reading another older post on EduGeek and this looks interesting!

@Steve21 is EduLock still something you’re developing? The website isn’t available.

If not, would you be interested in open sourcing it on GitHub for others to develop perhaps?
