Hi, I don't suppose anyone can share a GPO export of their AppLocker rules? Same problems here. Any joy with the printing issue? Thanks Moby

Hi, Sorry to reply to an old thread - just stumbled on it. The problem I found was that UEV bookmarks stored in the UEV location are not loaded into the local Bookmarks section for users logging on to a different or new PC, even with this GPO set. The user has to run IE to get the local bookmarks folder populated. There's a tiny utility that can be downloaded at http://www.stevesharrad.co.uk . Find the free software section and download 'FavSync' UEV + Edge now works and the bookmarks are automatically present when a user logs on to a new PC. The GPO still needs to be set for Edge and UEV to share templates. Hope this helps! Moby

Hi Nick, Looking at the working (edited) version of the new default.aspx, the header shows I can't debug the non-edited version because the page advances after a split second to the error screen. We don't have the DirectEdit client installed BTW. Is there any further way I can look for edge mode on the edited version? Thanks Moby

Hi Nick, Commenting out that section does the trick I am using Internet Exploiter 11. Let me know if I can test a fix or anything else... Thanks Moby

New Installation in existing Folder: Not working.

Yes, this functionality exists in HAP. Assuming that the home directory attribute is set for each user (to a DFS share in the format \\dfs\sharename\%username%) then you can use the %homedir% successfully: e.g. %homedir% For the disk quota, use the dfstarget tag to re-map the DFS target back to the source UNC: \\hgss.local\dfs\staffhome$\%username% HTH, Moby -
Hi, If I copy over the files for the 10.4 update, then MyFiles becomes badly broken. As soon as a user opens MyFiles, the MyFiles window displays for a second. Then, a second later, the browser tries to open an address in the format of hap: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 and it does this without the user having clicked on anything or anyfile in MyFiles. The change appears to be a problem in the default.aspx file in MyFiles. If I revert this to the older file, then the problem goes away. Thanks for any suggestions! Yours Moby

OK, will give it a go... Any chance of the attribute being looked up being configurable?? Ta! Moby

Thanks Nick! Are the valid settings in the XML file for access "both", "internal" and "external" ?? On the timetable front, good to hear we don't need Exchange. I don't suppose it would be possible for you to add a config option in the hapconfig.xml so that the AD attribute looked up can be specified? Just that EmployeeID can't be added in column view in AD abUsers + Computers, whereas description/office etc can. It's easier to spot missing Employee IDs this way. Also, it's much easier to edit description/office other fields, than 'EmployeeID' that it only available via the attribute editor tab. Thanks, Moby

Hi Nick, Thanks as always for Home Access Plus+ A few questions if I may, as we look at upgrading from v9 to v10... 1. In v9, the hapconfig.xml drive mappings had a 'enablemove' setting that doesn't appear anymore. What is the default for this setting in v10, or is it no longer needed? 2. In v10, the hapconfig.xml section has an access="both" setting for links. This doesn't appear to be settable in the interface. What does this setting do, and what are the available valid settings for 'access'? Looks interesting! 3. Lastly, to take advantage of the timetable feature in V10, is there any other way of getting the timetable shown, even if we don't have a local Exchange? We have an LEA Exchange system, to which we don't have direct access/federation Thanks again, Moby.

Hi Nick, Moby here again! On the HAP tiles, we see that HAP+ correctly wraps the text in tiles to two lines if the text is too long. This is a great feature as it allows us to put a reasonable amount of text on a tile. However, the text spacing is slightly borked (and in any browser) the second line of text is half-off the tile. Screenshot attached. Can this be tidied / fixed please? Many thanks, Yours, Moby

Hi Nick, I don't mean the SQL transaction logs.... I meant the database holding the web log. If using the free version of SQL Express, then this is limited to a certain size. How to prune? Thanks Moby
-
Hi, Consider the following scenario: 1. A user tries to log in with the wrong ID consistently, until they get the 'Logon banned' for their IP. 2. The message says that they can try again in 30 minutes. The user leaves their web browser open 3. After 30 minutes, the user tries to log in again without restarting their browser. 4. When they try, they recieve a 'Call to undefined' error. The issue does not occur if the web browser is restarted after the 30 minutes timeout and before they try to log in again. Thanks, Moby

Hi, Any ideas at all? Does anyone fancy writing a quick SQL script to truncate the log to say, the last 1000 entries? Or is no-one else worried about their log DB/disk drive filling up eventually? Ta Moby!

Hey everyone, Is there a SQL query that I can execute to remove logon tracker entries over a certain age from the SQL logon tracker? Need to prevent my database filling up over time... Thanks! Moby
