StartSSL Installation

Hi All!

 

Im having a major headache with SSL's....im using a free cert from StartSSL, which ive genereated using my validated domain name...

 

What I cant see is where I go from here, ive never done it like this before normally I would just receive the .cer and away I go...but StartSSL seems completly different,

 

Anybody ever used them & point me in the right direction? even the FAQ isnt much help!

What do you receive from them? does it look similar to the CSR that you generated?

 

If so, I have seen this before.. Copy and Paste the code they send you and put it in a text file.. and then save that text file as a .cer so for example: certreply.cer

If you can be a bit more precise on what they have actually sent you.. should be able to say for definite.

Sorry yeah I should of been more specific...

 

Yeah the resulting "apparent" certificate really looks like the CSR I generated to give to them...I will give that a try,

Yeah, Then just past that response into notepad.. change the file type to 'All' so that you can specify one when saving it and just put the file extension as .CSR and then the response will be able to be imported as normal.

 

No Problem..
